Deloitte Again Resigns as Auditor of Chinese Firm

Deloitte has resigned as auditor for Chinese milk product manufacturer Daqing Diary Holdings after public trading in the company was suspended.

Recently, Deloitte also resigned as auditor of Boshiwa, another Chinese firm listed in Hong Kong. Boshiwa, which produces Harry Potter and Bob the Builder clothes for export, has been under fire for questions about the integrity of its books. Similarly, questions about the reliability of Daqing's public accounting. Daqing has not yet commented publicly on Deloitte's decision.

They emphasise that only 13 clean audits were achieved in the country last year, i.e. fewer than 5% of municipalities achieved the required benchmark.
